Photos by Renee Rosensteel About the dvd:Watch this trio perform fusion bellydance blended with their own ElectroBelly raver styles, enhanced by luminescent props and the tribal sounds of live and pre-recorded bellydance electronica music.The Story:Nature versus the post-industrial era. Who will win? Can we peacefully co-exist? Do we want to? Even if we can tame the animal within, might she not reemerge, more powerful than ever?About the entertainers:The live performers include Pittsburgh's leading Bellydance Electronica dancers and musicians. Amethyst and Shanti have been bellydancing for 9 years. Astarte and Amethyst have been dancing to electronic music together at raves for 6 years (but have enjoyed electronica seperately for years longer)! Amethyst is the originator of the "ElectroBelly" series and other events. The dvd will include music by various artists, including Pittsburgh's original bellydance electronica musicians Maurice Rickard (who played alongside the live tribal vocals of Asha Black in ElectroBelly 1 )(July, 2006) and Life in Balance.
